has one of the most developed and efficient transport systems in
the world. While the streets above may be clogged, the tracks
underground swiftly ( if at times a little crowded!) transfer you
from one part of London to another.
As a child, I'll never forget skipping school one day and
traveling "around" London for 3 hours...3 times on the
Circle Line!
Tourists
can cut costs by using a family travel card or daily or weekly
travel cards.
The
Family Travelcard is a one day ticket which is ideal for taking
the family out and about in London. It has all the benefits of a
One Day Travelcard, but saves you even more money. You can make as
many journeys like using the Underground, buses displaying London
Transport Buses sign (excluding N-prefixed Night Buses). Docklands
Light Railway and any rail service within travel zones selected on
your tickets. It is valid after 0930 Mondays to Fridays all day at
weekends on public holiday. |
